This is my 27th year of teaching and coaching! I am excited to foster and build the legacy of the Grand Oaks High School Speech and Debate program. My passion is helping students find their voice and learn to listen and engage in meaningful discussions. I have taken my teams to the state and national level each year. I have also had the opportunity to compete internationally. Choosing a communications class is the most beneficial thing you can do to prepare you for the future! Speech and Debate looks very impressive on your college applications!

I am the proud wife of Jason Langston, and 2 beautiful daughters, Chloe (22) recently graduated from the University of Arkansas and Lila (12) attends York Junior High School.

Coach Ryan Baker

Coach Baker is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he studied history and government. 

For the last five years, he has been teaching and spreading the love of competitive debate in underserved communities working with the Houston Urban Debate League. 

Now he is excited to work with the amazing team at Grand Oaks High School and help new and seasoned debaters alike on their path to success this school year.
