Volunteer

There are many ways to support GOHS Speech & Debate, and you do not have to make a year-long commitment to make a difference.

Families can join a committee, help with a specific event, donate food or supplies, assist with a special project, or simply volunteer when their schedule allows. Even helping once or twice during the year can have a meaningful impact.

Homecoming Float Committee

Help bring our Homecoming float to life! Volunteers may assist with brainstorming and design, gathering supplies, building and decorating, coordinating students and volunteers, parade-day activities, setup, and cleanup.

Hospitality Committee

Help us take care of students, judges, coaches, and guests throughout the season. Hospitality volunteers may assist with seeking meal donations, planning and shopping for meals, snacks and drinks, preparing meals, food delivery, tournament hospitality, event-day support, setup, and cleanup.

Fundraising Committee

Help generate the financial support needed for tournaments, travel, supplies, scholarships, and other program needs. Volunteers may help brainstorm fundraisers, coordinate events, connect with local businesses, assist with sponsorships, and seek donations.

Prefer to Help Occasionally?

No problem. We also need volunteers throughout the year for tournament-day support, food and supply donations, special events, setup and cleanup, sponsorship connections, and other short-term needs.

There is a place for everyone to help.
